    Dad of the Year

    For over half a century, WSU has been recognizing dads who have a positive impact on the Cougar family.

    Dad of the Year is honored during the Dad of the Year Breakfast in front of family, friends and leaders in the WSU campus and community. Dads receive a Dad of the Year sweatshirt, commemorative plaque, and admission to the President's box for the WSU Dad's Weekend football game, two tickets total.

    Wazzu Wednesday is weekly radio segment on which Washington State University departments and Registered Student Organizations can promote public events and causes to the Pullman/Moscow community.

    Join us from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. in the Compton Union Building Food Court every Wednesday during the academic year.

    Residence hall Move-In is an exciting time for our newest Cougs and their families. Students are starting a new adventure in life. They are excited to meet new friends and learn new things, but may be a bit tentative about being away from their current support network.

    That's where you come in!

    WSU Esports Extra Life Charity Event | January 12-13 | CUE 202 WSU Esports will be hosting a 24 hour charity event in support of Sacred Heart Children's Hospital through Extra Life from 12:00pm Sat. Jan. 12 through 12:00pm Sun. Jan. 13. This event will be open to all to stop through to play games and have a great time!

    Air &Waste Management Association Ice Cream Social | Monday, January 14 | 5:15-6:15 pm | CUE 316 An informational ice cream social to kick off the semester! We will start with a brief introduction to the club and what our goals are for the semester, followed by time to hang out and get to know people. There will be ice cream for all while supplies last. All majors are welcome, undergraduate and graduate students alike.

    "Normalization," Lecture by Paul Rucker | Monday, January 14 | 7-8 pm | CUB Auditorium Allegro hosts Cellist, Visual Artist, and Social Justice Activist Paul Rucker to give a lecture titled "Normalization." The lecture will be on themes of his TED talks, discussing systemic racism, mass incarceration, and contemporary legacies of slavery.

    Letters to Veterans &Valentines for Local Seniors | January 14-18 | 8 am - 5 pm | Student Org. Center (CUB 331) Honor our veterans and make local senior citizens smile by writing letters and creating valentines that are always well-received!

    Seize the Semester: Hot Chocolate and Cool Ideas at the Student Org. Center | Tuesday, January 15 | 9 am-12 pm | Student Org. Center (CUB 331) Enjoy a LOADED hot chocolate bar, and engage with SOC staff to get assistance with event planning, learn about funding opportunities, work on a design order, and more to start the new year strong for your RSO!

    Musical Improvisations on Works by WSU Students | Tuesday, January 15 | 1-2 pm | Library Atrium Guest Artist Paul Rucker will be performing with music students at WSU, improvising on artwork and poetry by WSU students.

    SEB Cougar Head Project | Tuesday, January 15 | 5-7 pm | Butch’s Den Come and be a part of something special! In collaboration with the SPARK and their 3D printer, SEB is providing the opportunity for students to paint cougar head tiles to be used in one of the rooms of the SPARK to give it more of a creative and welcoming environment. The event is free and refreshments will be provided.

    Cello Multimedia Performance by Paul Rucker | Tuesday, January 15 | 8-10 pm | SPARK G45 Allegro hosts guest artist Paul Rucker who will be performing music on cello with multimedia visuals in SPARK G45.

    Beta Alpha Psi Welcome Back Meeting/Fashion Show | Wednesday, January 16 | 6-7 pm | Butch’s Den Welcome back meeting! We will be putting on a fashion show to help students figure out the differences between business casual and business professional. There will be lots of good tips just in time for interviewing season.

    Honest Academics Week | Wednesday, January 16 | 7 pm | CUB Jr. Ballroom ASWSU hosts James Lancaster to speak on the importance of maintaining academic integrity in college.

    Wear your spirit: Tie Dye with the Student Org. Center | Thursday, January 17 | 10 am - 2 pm | Student Org. Center (CUB 331) Represent your RSO and make some bomb tie-dye RSO T-shirts! We’ll bring the fun atmosphere so you can get creative and bring back the tie-dye!

    IEEE Career Fair | Wednesday, January 23 | 10 am - 5 pm | Elson S. Floyd Cultural Center The 2019 IEEE helps EE, CS and other math sciences and engineering majors to meet companies looking to hire or start internships.

    Middle Eastern Night | Saturday, January 26 | 4:00pm-6:00pm | CUB Senior Ballroom Enjoy a night celebrating the unique cultures of the Middle East with performances from the Seattle Dabke Group, Iranian Dance Group, UI Saudi Club, and Comedian Mohanad Elshieky. Taste some delicious Middle Eastern Cuisine while having your name drawn in Arabic calligraphy and henna tattoos. The event is FREE.

    Exercise is Medicine 2nd Annual Wellness Fair | Monday, January 28 | 11 am - 2 pm | CUB 210 A student ran fair that showcases the health related services the community has to offer! From other RSOs to the UREC to chiropractic clinics or martial arts gyms, we try to bring together health oriented organizations within Pullman/ Moscow to show students what is available to them!

    Undergraduate Research Club Meeting | Tuesday, January 29 | 5-6 pm | Chinook 25 The Undergraduate Research Club will have its January meeting on Tuesday January 29th at 5:00 pm-6:00 pm in Chinook room 25. We will discuss upcoming events for the semester, which includes lab tours and guest speakers. Pizza will be provided.

    WSU Housing Fair | Wednesday, January 30 | 11 am - 2 pm | CUB Jr. Ballroom Looking for a place to live next year? Drop by the WSU Housing Fair and learn about your living options for next year! Cougar Choice Properties will be in attendance, as well as many other resources to assist students in smart off campus living practices.

    Project Fearless | Wednesday, January 30 | 6 pm - 8 pm | CUB Jr. Ballroom Shattering the Stigma of Sexual Violence is an art and performance night hosted by ASWSU. Its goal is to open up a conversation about sexual violence through education and awareness. Performances will be scheduled for the stage while physical art will be displayed for viewers to look at before they leave. We believe that there are many interpretations of our theme and would like to allow you, the artist, to showcase your interpretation. What does it mean to be a survivor? What do you want to express to the audience about sexual violence or harassment? Share your story, share your art, and shatter the stigma.
