LEADERSHIP TIER PROGRAMS
Leadership Center programming is divided into three tiers structured within the Social Change Model of leadership and designed to take highly motivated students and develop them to be future leaders at and beyond Washington State University.
Tier I: Emerging Leaders
Through the use of workshops, experiential learning, and engagement, Emerging Leaders is designed to take highly motivated first-year students and develop them to be future leaders at and beyond Washington State University.
- Prerequisite: Available to first-year students
- Length: Fall or spring semester
Rewards & Benefits
- Certificate of completion
- Advancement to Crimson Leadership VIP
- Ability to apply for the Cougar Leadership Team
- Leadership swag
- Leadership banquet attendance
Tier II: Crimson Leadership VIP
Values, integrity, and purpose serve as the second tier leadership engagement program. Students involved in Crimson Leadership VIP continue their leadership journey through a variety of deeper engagement activities.
- Prerequisite: Successful completion of the Emerging Leaders program or other forms of campus and community involvement
- Length: One year, preferably sophomore year

Tier III: Leadership WSU
In partnership with Leadership Spokane, Leadership WSU engages upperclassman in the 10 pillars of servant leadership and Leadership Spokane curriculum.
- Prerequisite: Successful completion of the Crimson Leadership VIP program or other forms of campus and community involvement; Junior or senior class standing
- Length: One year, preferably junior or senior year
