Cougs4Cougs

(powered by ScaleFunder)

A digital fundraising platform that gives your registered student organization (RSO) the power to harness transformational giving through crowdfunding.

Apply at Cougs4Cougs.wsu.edu to gain financial support through the campus community while your alumni, parents, friends, fans, and even students can see the impact of their gifts and connect with your organization on a personal level.

Earn Money with Staff Pro

Your organization can earn a donation by volunteering at WSU football games in a variety of guest service positions. Staff Pro’s fundraising program also allows RSOs to volunteer at a variety of other events in and around the Pullman/Moscow area.

This program is a professional and fun environment that requires training and structure. All volunteers will need to attend a training with Staff Pro to learn about the program, Staff Pro policies and procedures, expectations, and dress code.

Staff Pro pays each group a flat rate of $11 per hour per volunteer. As a bonus, the group that accumulates the most volunteer hours by the end of the WSU Football season will be awarded an extra $500.

To begin your organization’s training, please contact Staff Pro representative Ben Smith at 509-319-0803 or bsmith@staffpro.com.

Fundraising

Students are encouraged to plan fundraising events on campus to help support their organization. Selling tickets to an event, having a bake sale, or holding a raffle are just a few great ways to raise money for your organization.

RSOs should review the RSO Manual, found on Student Involvement's Website (under the "Organizations" tab), for current fundraising guidelines, and also be sure to register their fundraising events on CougSync.

Collaborate

When planning an event or activity on campus, groups can seek out local businesses or other interested RSOs to collaborate, partner with, or sponsor their event. Perhaps a similar RSO partners with your group and covers the venue cost in exchange for artistic or logistical input regarding the event. Perhaps a local business sponsors your group's event, donating some money in exchange for putting their logo on your event's advertisements. There are many financial possibilities and opportunities available when collaborating or working with others in the community.

Funding Support for RSOs: Zero-Waste Football Program

The Sustainability Office at Environmental Health and Safety is working with Athletics to create a zero waste program in the luxury seating at Martin Stadium during this football season. We are seeking registered student organizations (RSOs) that are willing to assist with waste management. Groups should be available 2.5 hours prior to kick off until 30 minutes after the game. This would consist of individuals standing by the waste collection areas and answering questions on how to properly manage waste. My staff will provide instructions at the start of each game. For their services Athletics will donate $500 and EH&S will donate $250 to their RSO. Lunch and T-shirts will be provided.

We are looking for approximately 18 individuals per game. Below is a list of the games and dates we plan on using RSOs' assistance:

  • October 1st vs. Oregon: time to be decided
  • October 15th vs. UCLA: time to be decided
  • November 5th vs. Arizona: time to be decided
  • November 12th vs. California: time to be decided
  • November 25th vs. Washington: 10AM to approximately 4:30PM

Please contact Amy Speargas Whiteman if your group is interested via aspeargas@wsu.edu or (509)-335-5381.M
