Student Involvement

Register a new student organization – it’s simple!

Have an idea for a new student organization at WSU.

Be sure to search for pre-existing organizations.

  1. Find three other enrolled WSU students that will join your club.
  2. Find an advisor.
    • Be sure to speak with this person and obtain permission before putting them down as an official advisor for your new organization.
    • Advisors can be a faculty, staff or graduate student with a teaching, research, or graduate assistantship.
    • After registering, your advisor will get an email with an Advisor Agreement attached and must fill this out.
  3. Have two officers attend RSO officer training. Click here for RSO officer training dates.
  4. Create a constitution: Define group roles, membership requirements, officer duties, and due rates (if applicable).
  5. Once the requirements above have been met, log onto with your WSU ID and password, and click “browse organizations”. On the right hand side, click the green button that reads “Register New Organization”.
    • Fill out the registration form.
